Maths games

This is an example of a maths game that children could create in their maths lessons. It is a specific example of the minions and monopoly, creating minionopoly. It is a fun aspects to maths that the children will enjoy. They will not only enjoy making their own games but also playing other children’s. The children can create any game based on any concept of maths such as calculation, algebra etc.

Maths games are a good way of assessing their understanding as it gives the teacher chance to see if their games actually work showing that they know what they are doing. If their games do not work then this highlights to the teacher that they maybe need more input in their chosen focus.

Target: Incorporate games into maths lessons within school to put the ‘fun’ back into mathematics.
