Angle Monsters

This is great example of a fun way to teach angles within thew classroom. It gets all of the children active and engaged in the lesson with a fun aspect to learning mathematics. Having used this on placement, it proved to be a good hook to get the children to want to take part and get up and move about in the lesson. It was also a resource that the children could use to check or help them find answers before coming to ask the teacher. This aided independence and enjoyment of their own learning.

Angle monsters are an easy resource to create and keep within the classroom for any lesson they are needed in. The children know they are there and can just go and help themselves whenever they need one.

Target: Continue to think of fun ways to engage children in mathematics learning and to continue to reuse this resource on further practices.
