This is feedback from a maths observation on professional practice 1b. In particular this related to TS1,4,6,7 and 8.
I was able to demonstrate the ability to stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and depositions, impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time and know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including salutatory assessment requirements.
I have also been able to develop clear rules and routines for behaviour, taking responsibility for promoting good and courteous behaviour in the classroom. I was able to manage the class effectively, using the schools approaches in order to involve and motivate the children. I was able to maintain good relationships with pupils while still exercising authority when needed. Finally i was able to deploy support staff effectively to ensure all children develop their learning.
Target: Try to use pre-assessment to group the children for the lesson and ensure appropriate challenge for all pupils.
